How is today's fortune calculated?
We find today's ganji (day pillar), then read the Ten-Gods relationship between its heavenly stem and your Day Master. The calculation is deterministic for the date — the same person on the same day always gets the same result.
What is a day pillar (iljin)?
It's the sixty-cycle ganji sign attached to each calendar day. On an Eul-Yu (乙酉) day, for example, the stem 乙 and the branch 酉 describe the day's energy, and Saju reads the day through the relationship (Ten Gods) between that stem and your Day Master.
Does the result change every day?
Yes. The day pillar cycles through sixty signs, so every day brings a different ganji and Ten-Gods relationship, and a fresh set of notes goes up at midnight. Yesterday's note stays available for one extra day only.
Why are there only ten readings per day?
